Soy Wax Tidbits
Soywax is derived from the oil of the soybeans grown by American farmers. The nicest reward from burning a soy wax candle, is the fact that it burns so clean and does not produce black soot or smoke. Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans up with plain old soap and water. Soy candles will last an average of 30% longer (sometimes more) than other traditional candle waxes, which makes them an economical choice.
You may see information about 'triple scented' candles. Please do not be misled.Candle waxes will hold a maximum percentage of fragrance. Exceeding the maximum can cause the fragrance oil to seep out of the wax (causing a possible fire hazard), and also to inhibit the scent 'throw' of the candle. Yes, it is possible for a 'triple-scented' candle to smell weaker while burning than a counterpart using less fragrance oil per pound of wax.
